TEQUiLA is a celebration of European yo yo culture, where competition and community go hand in hand. Inspired by the unforgettable atmosphere of international contests and their legendary afterparties, this release captures the spirit of coming together, having fun, and enjoying the moment.
Originally designed as a surprise for competitors at the 2020 World Yo Yo Contest in Budapest, TEQUiLA was created to embody that shared experience. When the event was cancelled, iYoYo chose to release the yo-yo anyway as a tribute to the scene and the friendships that define it.
Machined as a full metal yo-yo and shaped like a double shot glass, each cup is modeled after a tequila glass and can actually measure 20ml of liquid. The design was developed alongside Ze’ev Yehuda and brought to life with bold, playful artwork by Bryan Figueroa.

On the string, TEQUiLA is super wide and incredibly easy to land, making string hits feel almost automatic. At the same time, the unconventional shape adds a layer of challenge when navigating dense string formations, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional competition focused designs. It is fun, expressive, and intentionally different.
