Black (or that darker charcoal) would be nice to have going for simplicity.
Don’t have any color combos in particular but just in general, acid washes look pretty cool. “Grunge Band” was a pretty cool-looking colorway (Was an acid wash black/softer gold with hot pink acid wash) but really any kind of acid wash with the splash would be neat. I feel like I don’t see too much acid washes these days.

Maybe try slapping some ultralights in it then? IMO the Deepest State is at its best as a responsive yoyo with a greasebucket. Trying to do 1A on it is inherently super challenging because of the narrow width & catch zone. Best of luck though!

Guys, I’m really sorry to break it to you, but like… One Drop haven’t released a plated yoyo in nine years; and I think it’s time to let it go at this point. I think plating is cool and all, but if they haven’t figured out anywhere they can get plating done in all this time then I just don’t think it’s very likely to ever happen. That’s my 6 cents anyway.

On the plating front, there were FRS Black Canons nickel plated in 2021. There might still be an avenue there.
Also, @DocPop had a small batch of Weekenders copper plated in 2024.

I love this idea and I did propose it.. I think purple is easy to make cool, in fact I have an example here, let me take a pic.. I love this one a lot:
Could do light to dark purple fade as well, that evokes “mountains” to me.
Amber waves is a bit tougher, kinda close to the gold? I don’t think a fade is right, we need “waves of grain” so like another splash, similar to spacious skies! That could work! Here’s a hue change on the Spacious.. gotta be careful to avoid gold, so it’s gotta be a light yellow IMO to work
Inverted yellow on silver is strong as well and very pretty IMO. I would invert. Make it the yellow splash on raw/silver. This would be my pick for amber waves, kinda this (but a single color, just the yellow above) .. here’s my crappy mockup

well for starters you’re making the assumption that just because something doesn’t click that you’re doing something wrong. not every yoyo is for everyone and that’s ok. most ppl agreed the plasm was super dope. i didnt like it at all and traded mine 
no biggie if deepest isn’t your cuppa

That was because One Drop didn’t have a good anodiser for a while, but now BT are absolutely killing it. One Drop hasn’t had a good plating company since about 2017 (the old one ‘stopped doing good work’), and I don’t think One Drop are going to find a new one that can produce non-vibey yoyos anytime soon because that’d require some very good tolerances and One Drop aren’t gonna release a plated yoyo if it has vibe.
