I have a batch of yo-yos in Australia I badly need (not want, need) in my hands.
To keep it easy, is there anyone in Australia who loves yo-yos as much as we do, and is good at navigating the current shipping morass, specifially from Australia → USA?
I’ll pay that person $100, plus cover the shipping costs both ways, to help us cross-ship.
Australia post is shipping to the USA now as long as the item is a “gift” valued at less than us$100.
So depending on the value and number of Yoyos in the parcel you might need to under declare the value. Also putting a tank you or birthday card inside made out to the addressee might help.
If I can help then I’m happy to. The new setup is going to be similar to GST in Aus and NZ, but probably also now tax gifts and samples along with goods and services. Lower values are paid by the sender and will either end up passed on to the customer or absorbed into the cost like GST is. High value is paid on the receiving end.
