i may have a new favourite trick, but its a shame it doesn’t show up very well on camera
That’s sick man, super cool concept!
Here’s the combo I’ve been working on! Tried rearranging the trick order and that’s been helpful even though I would prefer to end with ping pong it’s easier for me to start with it for whatever reason Still need to iron out consistency on it but making progress!
Shout-out to @eatpotaro for helping me finally figure this out on stream today!!
YES!!! That was very cool!! Very flashy!!
I beat you to the punch. I’ll get to the chopsticks bind soon. Sorry for the bad recording setup, but I wanted to upload quickly.
Things to notice:
- I can keep the string on the edge of my elbow until starting the tennis trick when I actually let it drop.
- Because this is an open bind, getting more velocity on the yoyo and moving your hand back to get a slightly more horizontal string helps a lot.
Nice work man, looking great! Thank you for the tips! This seems like a fun one to learn! Challenging but fun!
It took me a while, but I did the chopsticks bind (ignore my totally random thumbnails)
Other things:
- there’s a knot at the end of the backstring. It has little effect
- You can use yoyos of different shapes and weights, it’s just more difficult
Actual bind:
- the backstring is on the middle finger, which allows for more chopstick space
- I cheated by using the small yoyo. I actually can’t do this bind consistently on any yoyo…
- Drape the edge of the string over your thumb and pull up as the yoyo hits. If it helps, you can tilt your hand with the same effect as any other bridge bind
oooh this is interesting
Here’s that antispin pop thing. @eatpotaro should hopefully make a tutorial for this
It’s fairly similar, however yours happens distinctly after the trick, whereas mine can fling the yoyo anywhere during the antispin
@eap314 I’ve totally done this by accident too and I have no idea how to replicate it lol, it’s actually a really cool trick I just never expect it so I’m not ready to catch it
That chopsticks bind looks fun! I’ll give that a try when I get home tonight!
