Okay, this thing lives up to it’s name…what a beast. The BVM2 is great. But, I have a dilemma. Lately, the side that looks best to me in person, my “display side,” does not photograph as well as the other side. Same was true with the Summit. That is starting to weird me out. This side looks better in person:
The second side looks better to me, too; it’s probably because of all the splash action of the other half’s catch zone. It all contributes to a lot of motion and excitement in the photograph vs. just looking at the cup straight-on.
Yeah, it sure is strange. I’ll be sure one side looks better, and when I try to capture it in a photo, it just won’t register the same. Then, the other side ends up more photogenic. I had trouble getting that first side to focus in the center…likely due to the silver being in the middle. It finally worked out tough. It’s a great throw by the way, especially if you like some heft.
I have to say, that it’s still on my list of things to get. The thing with the Superstar is that there is an official YYE Edition out there, with the name yoyoexpert on the side, but I can’t find one with no damage. Chuck has one with very minimal damage. I’m looking for one like that too. Then there is an unofficial red/black one that is currently available. I’d rather look for that official one, but I think I’ll end up with the unofficial one instead. It’s definitely on my “want list” though.
I had never seen this one before, thanks for cluing me in on it, I think it totalllly counts, and I think I have to have one, for sure, what do you think TA? (2 in stock here at YYE, but no picture of this colorway)
Hmmm. It definitely counts for our list. But, I’m going to pass because I have enough unofficial ones to complete my case, and the yo-yo itself doesn’t appeal to me so much. But, you’ll have to tell me if it’s a nice throw…I might change my mind.
Thanks Peppercat. I think that might be our first photo of it in this thread. I don’t own any G2 and passed on a trade for one not too long ago. I’ll add it to the master list…forgot to add it.
Does this count? It’s the same colors, Black, Red, and Silver/white splash.
It’s a Clyw Campfire, Campfire Coals colorway, pretty rare. Only 22 were produced in this colorway and 10 were released to the general public at competitions.
