I think it would be cool if you updated the search so it would search for the complete phrase and not show results with the word (i.e. if I I search "the cut, I don’t get every thread that contains the word “the”). This also applies if I search something like superstar and I get results with that contain the word star.

Use quotation marks in your search. You are looking for a page specifically including only ‘the cut,’ but not ‘the’ or ‘cut’ by itself? Run this search:
"the cut"
If a certain search is coming up with a word that is an expansion of one of your search terms and is messing up some of your search results, you can also use subtraction. Say you want ‘the cut’ but not ‘the cute’ you would enter this as your search:
"the cut" -cute
