That doesn’t seem too bad of a weight for hubstacks. I didnt know the post was long enough to fit them either, it it just a firm fit like a tight bearing post?

There’s not anything necessarily stopping me from making the hub posts longer or shaping them different… Thoughts for another design, I guess.
I’ve considered the possibility of threading the nipple and having some fun with attachments like that, too.

I’m back! 
Took me some time to get my rhythm going back at work, but I’m getting back to being more regular in my after hours stuff now.
Aaaaaaaand my Ti hookup may be tapped out. No more cheap scrap for me for a bit, I guess…
I have enough Ti for about 3/4 of the current orders and I’m collecting quotes from a few alternate sources. Cost increase is expected to be significant, but still nothing too big to worry about in the short term. I do need to find a new source for affordable Ti if the planned final price point for these is gonna hold, though… Might see what kind of volume my existing hookup might be able to provide if I ask for grade 2 instead. CP grades would be marginally heavier, though, so I don’t know if that’s the right direction to go.
How’s it going so far? Any thoughts?

Im enjoying it. I love the sound it makes because the titanium. Ive been throwing it unresponsive because the pads were wore out when I got it. There are extra pads so I might change thouse out this weekend and see how it throws with fresh pads. I wonder how it would do with 3D printed TPU brake pads. Those would last for a long time. The hubstack hack was fun. They wobble a bit but I could see how that would be fun if the post was set up for them correctly. I had to break out my old bee to see how it compared. The fact that the queen bee is a little heavier definitely helps I think. Next ill see how it does with fresh pads. Im assuming it would be responsive then.

Alright I think it’s time to pass the Queen Bee on. Is there a list yet or who wants next?
Also @Lotaxi just got to say your a great machinist. The precision is excellent. This was a very cool idea. Would be nice to make a Proyo Ace or Mongoose minis too at some point. I don’t know if it would be easier for you to find smaller diameter titanium scraps but it’s an idea for the future.
