I was trying to get in the forum today on my One X with Puffin Browser and it said it banned me as a guest and for being scammer. what the heck?

Well the IP that you were using is not banned, nor are you. Did you have a proxy address set or anything like that? We do block a lot of proxy addresses. In any event you are in posting this on the same IP that received the ban message.
And the guy was a SPAMMER not a SCAMMER. ;D
Does Turkey use dynamic IP addresses? If so, that’s where the problem could be…
I very occasionally run into the same problems (so far not on YYE, but other sites) as South Africa uses dynamic IP. However, if a forum or site throws me out due to IP address, all it usually takes is a restart of my modem (in which case my service provider automatically assigns a new IP) .
