PSA: Stop using envelopes to ship yoyos

String. Bearings. Response pads. These are most of what I order.

Sengoku’s been taking care of my new yo-yo fix for a while.

Nearly any single yoyo fits in a 4x4x4" box. With packing material, it’s typically around $5 to ship one domestic via usps ground advantage.

I used to keep one small box with a few broken down inside of it, along with whatever neat packing material other yoyos had come in. Reduce reuse recycle, or some scheme like that.

This has been my friendly PSA

Ahh fair I have so many bearings and such I rarely buy more it’s all YoYo’s lol

This doesn’t work if you need to send boxes. They will be badly damaged

My dad had ordered a yoyo and it came from canada in a packing envelope and the yoyo was taken apart and each half was wrapped securely in bubble wrap along with the bearing and axle in a baggy. The entire envelope was very secure and nothing was damaged

The box could be folded flat and taped between some thicker cardboard and it’d be fine.

Totally unacceptable packing!

^^I’ve shipped many boxes in my time here.

Even when I was a clueless 13 year old starting out, I never would have just thrown a yo-yo box in an envelope and hoped for the best.

Wonderful writeup. Reminds me of when I ordered a microSD ages ago and it was shipped in a box with additional air pockets inside. I guess someone must have checked too many boxes with their fulfillment partner or something. I vaguely remember doing an unboxing of it but I can’t find it anywhere on my old channels.
