Dm sent.
Will be on the move again today. I am adding some extra goodies in there for several to have/try - I recently started getting into making my own strings and wanted to include a bunch so that anyone who gets this down the road (plus quite a few for the original owner) can take one if they want. I’ll updated post again when it gets shipped out (young kids mean there’s only a small window of ‘nap time’ to run errands, lol), along with a pic of some of the stuff.
Thanks again to everyone who makes these things continue on, and a special thanks to @dizzo for starting this thing! I would have never even thought of this yo-yo to be something that would be on my “watch out for one” list, but after getting a chance to try it, it definitely is now!
On the move again - i threw in some stickers and a bunch of strings I made - please feel free to take one and try it out.
Thanks again for the chance to be part of this!
The eagle has landed. Everything looks good with lots of goodies. Can’t wait to throw this guy around!
What a great experience with this guy. Felt great in the hand and pleasure to throw. Sadly it’s time to pass along the experience to the next lucky contestant.
I’ll add a 3D printed stand to the loot for it’s journey and sign the card of it’s PIF journey.

I will send the Silenus on to the next person to post, ”I’ll take it,” here, in this this thread. DM’s don’t count, it needs to be in thread to keep everything fair (Continguous 48 states only, please). You will get this great throw to use and enjoy, completely free, for 30 DAYS (give or take a few).
HOWEVER! By accepting this throw, you also accept the responsibility of creating a similar post at the end of your 30 day period, as well as paying the shipping fees in sending it on to the next person.
A POX UPON THE ONE WHO BREAKS THE CHAIN
Is it bad I kind of want to try all that string more then the yoyo lol.
You need to channel your inner Dewey Finn (Jack Black in School of Rock) and just teach the kids yoyo … a proper education in math be damned.
If no one else has laid claim I guess I’ll take it. It’s not a yo-yo in stock or one I would have looked at at the time but y’all make it sound great so maybe I’ll change my opinions and be scouring a Bst for after lol.
@Captrogers I stumbled upon this thread, having not ever tried/known/heard of this before…it’s DEFINITELY on my list to check on the BST stuff here and FB!
As for the strings, feel free to try/keep a few, I wanted to put enough in there to help share the love and contributile to this great cause (PIF stuff). I realize that any PIF can go sideways with just one person, so I appreciate anyone who starts it. It’s given me thought to create one myself in the not-too-distant-future…
I only recently got into making string, but this is how I can “contribute” to something like a PIF easily, and in a way that feels personal and meaningful.
Enjoy the yoyo!!
(If you like the string, or have any feedback/suggestions, I’d love to hear it!)
I’ve been in a journey to find string I like and while skill is way more important than the gear it still adds a personal feel to the experience. Watching all of these PIF have made me realize it’s a way to try a few things I normally wouldn’t consider without a big investment.
I appreciate people like you who add to things like this and I’ll make sure to contribute something as well
Ditto! I really like the idea of a community coming together and allowing a “trial” of stuff, to see if it’s something you might be interested in. It can be hard to commit to something when an investment starts to tip towards the $100 mark…I’m all about finding meaningful ways to contribute to any cause I deem inportant or “worthy.”
The Silenus is on the move. Thanks again for the great experience. What a great community!
It’s arrived safe and sound a picture for proof of life lol. First impression I like how it feels in my hand. Also those pads are worn down and the bearing feels like it could use a cleaning. Still spins and binds fine though so not sure if I should swap the pads and clean the bearing then use it to break it in for the next person or just let it ride cause it’s fine for now.
So it’s been almost a week. Haven’t had allot of time to mess with this but I really enjoy it. I did find the bearing being a bit finicky so I cleaned it and then realized the pads (actually seemed like flowed silicon) where crumbling which was probably what was messing up the bearing as bits of response where getting in it.
So until I get the time and desire I tossed a pair of Hollywood modern (mouse pads) response pads and a new center track bearing and boom as good as new minus the minor scratches and dings this thing has from its travels. (I assume that’s to be expected after like 30 people have used it)
If I get some time I’ll flow some silicone into the response instead but it works great with the pads for now and I’ll toss some extra in the box for it’s travels if I run out of time with this thing.
Also if anyone cares here are the logs and goodies that have traveled along so far. I’ll make sure to add some stuff too but almost need a bigger box lol. I guess I’ll take some string I’ve never tried and see how I like it.
@Chrizsmh13 I’ve tried some of your string. It’s pretty decent. I’m not as big of a fan of thin string and its a tad course for my taste but I had to take the sparkly orange one and green as ill throw those on my main throw in october lol. Your thicker stuff is pretty good too nice and soft which is great. I’ll make sure to leave some for the next person lol.
Hello all, it’s been nearly a month and I’ve enjoyed my time with the Silenus. I think it’s time for this fun yoyo to find a new home for a month and to add this thing to my buy list next time I’m looking for a yoyo on the bst boards and have some extra cash.
I’ll do a little bump on this any interested in playing this one for a bit?
This long chain is at about 30 people at this point would hate to see it end here.
