Pay It Forward FTY - ProjectY PV44 & 138

No problem. I loved them on my RBC so I bought a big pack. It’s my preferred string for plastic fixies and responsives, but I also use it on unresponsives and loopers.

All right, I had a lot of fun with these three throws and have a little time left technically but due to an upcoming trip I’ll have to let go of them a little early.

The first person to post “I’ll take it” here in this thread will be receiving these three fine specimens from Fair Trade Yoyos in the mail! (Continental U.S. only please.) I will pm you to get the address.

Here is that catch. In 3 weeks (give or take a few days) you must copy this post and send it on to someone else.

By accepting this, you are taking responsibility to pay shipping to the next person. The box I’m shipping weighs about 16 oz so keep that in mind when you claim it next, shipping should still be around $5-6. Please U.S. destinations only!

The Project Y is the larger purple, PV44 is black and the 138 is the smaller purple.

Let’s see how long we can keep it going!

Once you receive it, please take a photo or video and post in this thread.

I will include a sign in sheet for everyone that receives it to sign.

A pox on the one who breaks the chain!!!

To anyone who really loved these I have the full set I’m looking to sell. Need to reduce the hoard and as much as I love them they are collecting dust.

I truly appreciate the time I had with these three throws! Thank you to the OP @AKYOYOMIKE for that!

Also, THANK YOU to everyone who threw in additional strings and such for others to try. I really liked the @JesterDClown string I tried, which is one I haven’t heard of before this thread. It’s always nice trying new things so I’ll be including a few different strings for anyone to try as well. There are 3 Bad Wolfe Plushh strings (in different colors) and a couple Bad Wolfe Slicc in Goldilocks thickness for others to try. Please only 1 per person. Hoping others who haven’t had a chance to try these will get an opportunity. Also threw in some Twisted Stringz XL for anyone who likes thicker string and a few yellow Original Throw normals. I bagged up and labelled all the strings in the box so it’s clear what is in there.

I really enjoyed all three! The 138 surprised me the most. It is the smallest metal yoyo I’ve thrown to date so I wasn’t sure what I would think of it. It definitely had its challenges but after a little throw time I was amazed how much fun it was. Project Y is probably my favorite of the bunch and my son loved PV44 the most. Little bummed about the timing of a trip which caused me to give these up early but I am grateful for the time I had with them. I hope the next person enjoys these as much as I did! Thank you again for the opportunity!

Too funny, I’ve been trying to get at these since the thread started. I’m always a day late, but NOT TODAY! Can’t wait. PV44 looks so interesting but the 138 fits my like for smaller throws.

The 138 is my favorite overall. I also prefer smaller throws and it is one of the most fun I have thrown. It is a blast to throw around. Front style is fast and zippy. It challenges my horizontal game to keep everything on line, but it is so much fun in doing so.
The Y is almost just as fun and both of these throws are a blast for grinds and just having fun. They both flow well and get hard to put down.
The 44 was a great surprise to me. It is a nice “Organic” shape, but it adds a lot of stability and performance. It was my favorite for typical 1A style.

All in all these throws are all fun, have a great finish, and extremely comfortable throws. I would be completely fine with any of the three on a desert island with no other throws.

EDIT: Also I threw in some YYSL Type X and Plutonium in the bag for the next ones that get the package. There are a ton of strings in there. Thanks to everyone who keeps adding to the string pile in there.

The team made it safely! They sat in my mailbox for a few days while I was away. What a nice surprise to come home to.

These all play so fantastic so I’m still trying to figure out which is my favorite. The Project Y and 138 are very OD feeling…. Parlay and or Intro, two of my favorites.

I don’t own any FTY at this point and I’m sure that’s going to change.

Thanks for the opportunity!!

OK, gang… My time has ended so we need a new home. All 3 of these are so premium feeling. Smooth 10/10 and feel so nice in the hand. I seemed to pick up the PV44 the most! Thanks for this opportunity.
