Why do you want both? I didn’t plan to sell the first one because it was too dangerous in my eyes but maybe if there is enough interest I might sell it with a heavy disclaimer.
Ohh I want the danger. Don’t sell the danger to kids though…
If you want the danger I can certainly get you the danger! Although I would do some more testing first.
The second one looked more stable to me. Is it going to be called the Yoyo eXpert (eXpert for short)?
Second one was more stable. Third version will be heavier to add more stability because the yoyo generates a lot of air resistance. As to the name I’m not sure yet.
Tapir! it’s a pachyderm and still leaves rhino and hippo for future creations
Neat ideas and great demo clips. Watched them several times because they have almost an ASMR quality to them. Especially the one with the Yoyo/Spintop moves on the table. Curious to see what you’ll come up with in the future. Keep it going
That’s not a bad angle!
This yo-yo works great but I haven’t been releasing it because of one problem. Air resistance. I can’t get the spin time I want due to the yoyo contacting the air and slowing down so much.
Anyone have any ideas?
I smell heresy
Huh? What does that mean?
Sengoku has made a few yoyos with holes in the body or rims, like the Hanzo and Lotus. With both the yoyo maintains a more complete shape. Making the rims more complete, or increasing the amount of material around the center might help… just don’t accidentally make a certain fascist symbol
Nothin, just very unconventional
I have the same issue with my Honeycomb yoyo with the exposed infill, but it matters a lot less since that one’s a modern responsive meant for 0A type play.
You might be able to decrease drag by making the profile of each “leg” more oval rather than square.
Well I’ve made something like what you mentioned:
But I want to keep the same general idea which is a yoyo prongs? I guess
That’s an idea. I’ve seen your Honeycomb yoyo and it’s very cool! Never would of thought of it encountering air resistance though. Good idea though! I’ll have to try it!
Then take some notes from the Lotus. Look it up on the YYE shop
Yeah, I didn’t realize how much air resistance it would face, but with a hard throw it sounds like a desktop fan running on high.
Same with mine with the sound.
I suppose. I don’t want to copy their design though.
