P3AK, p3ak & Legacy Peak Photo Comparison

Have seen a couple people on discord/the forums inquire about differences between the latest additions to the Peak lineup. Figured a good comparison shot might be useful!

From L to R: P3AK, Legacy Peak, p3ak (aka lowercase p3ak)

Some quick, off the dome thoughts between the P3AK and Legacy Peak I shared on Discord when asked about the difference between the two...

I think the #1 thing you get when you move from the Legacy to the P3AK is stability. It’s by far the biggest thing you’ll notice right away. It’s no secret that the Legacy is not a stable yoyo due to the higher walls, and it can be a tilt machine if not handled right. The P3AK is a very solid, very capable organic yoyo that to me almost feels like a refined, perfected Creep. I guess in short: Legacy is vibes, P3AK is performance (for as much as an organic yoyo can be performant lol) but somehow you can definitely feel the similarities/lineage between them. Yes the P3AK is heavier, but it’s like a… “properly scaled up” heaviness so you don’t even really notice it when moving between the two, since it’s just like “Yeah this weight feels really goldilocks for these dimensions.” I do think the P3AK is the best playing entry into the Peak lineup and most people looking for an organic would think it’s fantastic whether they’ve ever thrown any Peak iteration or not.

For fun, some comparison shots between P3AK and Peak 2

As much as I love The Peak…. The lowercase peak is the best playing. I’m sure I’m bias, but that little guy is nice!

I think It’s the weight. It is the lightest

Did I miss the p3ak BBB drop or did you get it early? Also congrats on the Unknown Legacy Peak. Now you just need the team edition and you will have all the Legacy Peaks.

Edit: Just realized some dropped at Spirit. But that one is definitely on my list when they drop online.

It’s hard for me to tell from the pictures, but it looks like the P3AK and p3ak both use concave bearings while the Legacy Peak looks like it has a flat bearing. Is this how they came, or did you swap any?

I believe the Legacy Peak comes with a onedrop 10 ball.

Haven’t gotten to try out the LP, but I think I prefer the p3ak over the P3AK. Need to play with the uppercase more before coming to a final conclusion. Both are great throws. This is coming from a huge Wooly Marmot fan.
