I am as happy to see these new solid colors as the others. I hope that Olive can make it to future releases.

Baby blue is my fav OD color. I’d get it every time. Dents and dings just don’t show like other colorways.

Ah! I remember those! I still have some modder fodder halves and parts from when they did this. I’ve been saving them for the right project. I turned one set into a high wall y-factor w/ flatter faceted rims like the h-spin cut. It was pretty cool. It was such a bummer to see folks just assembling the kits and selling them off as prototypes. They ruined it for everyone.

I wonder what people who spent hundreds on the secondary market, for the original runs will think of this. I know some people will cherish the OGs, but personally, I’d prefer a brand spanking new one!

I paid somewhat silly money for an OG 28s a few years back, and I’m looking forward to buying one of these too. The OGs will always be the OGs, so they’ll remain collectable for those that care, and the play is unique enough for the people like me that actually just play the yo-yo. The fact that this release is the original design means it’ll play slightly different anyway, just like the various runs of the Peak.

In case you didn’t read the post, the original spec version has never been made before. It was modified by the machine shop before ever being manufactured to work better with their existing tooling. I anticipate that any differences in play would be pretty minor though.

Big fan of the Deepest State. I’m trying to get to a final weight of 57.5 – 58 grams. But I can’t find the right weight SE’s anywhere. Can you help?
My choices seem to be:
Aluminum Anti-Yo: 4.7 grams
Aluminum Mini Disk: 4.8 grams
Brass Ultra Light: 5.2 grams
Brass Micro Caps: 5.25 grams
Titanium Orb: 5.25 grams
