The engraving can vary. Some are very simple and others extensive.
I would imagine Bryan Figueroa wouldn’t take the summit 2 design lightly. He always comes up with some unique and interesting stuff
A ‘small run’ of pretty Deep States posted by One Drop’s anodiser:
SHEESH that color is soo good, OD really killing it with their recent releases
Holy smokes, that’s incredible!
I really like this throw and you should get it if you dig that kinda thing. ![]()
Holy smokes, I can SEE how strong the response is. I was playing with my Deep State earlier and it must need some lubricant because it just wasn’t responding at all. I wonder how unresponsive the Ultra can go?
Our lubed bearing isn’t sealed so it does need maintenance. If you get a Greasebucket, which is sealed, it keeps the same level of response.
I know that of course!
I will probably swap it for a Greasebucket another time, but I was feeling lazy so I just did 1A with it for a while, haha. The original Deep State still holds up really well against the Deepest, it’s truly remarkable.
Edit: In fact, I’d go so far as to say that the original Deep State is more well-suited for 1A than the Deepest State.
Speaking of store exclusives, this might have been missed by some:
Besides Dragon Slayer, I would love a mix of their red/black since it can be a beautiful wine color when playing.
So stoked for the Ultra State! Now I just have to make up my mind between raw machine or walnut shell polish…
FWIW the walnut looks even better in person. It gives off some ‘this belongs in a museum!’ vibes
Is someone forcing you to get only one?
Yep.. my budget and my wife ![]()
This is the way.

Thanks for sharing JT! I guess I’m pretty sold on the looks of the walnut finish (it’s gorgeous - I’m excited to hear it looks even better in person), but I’m not sure how it will preform for tape measure style tricks. But the finishes don’t seem dramatically different, so perhaps it won’t matter much.
Honestly I think I’ve come to the resignation that I’m going to sell some of my NIB splashes of the deepest state so I get one ![]()
