Instant buy without hesitation
Ahh, so I’ll be priced out, got it hahaha
Hopefully it’s not too soon after the S2, I’d like a fighting chance at justifying it to myself, I don’t own any Ti yet, so…
I’d love to see them take preorders for something like this just to split the bill up in this economy lol, or give plenty of headway for the release date at least
Yeah, I legitimately already know I won’t be able to afford it and I don’t even know the price lol.
My priorities are family bills, followed by Summit 2 and commitments to orders with Andy already made lol
In today’s economy??? Ima be missing hella drops
I don’t quite understand what you mean by ‘split the bill’? How would preorders help with that?
Was 8 days of not enough after we waited for like 2 months after First Draft? It sorta felt like forever to me. ![]()
most but not all yoyo preorders do a deposit to help cover initial materials + manufacturing costs and then you pay the rest once the yoyo is finished and ready to ship out (half now half later kinda thing)
Maybe if your company is totally broke then that would make business sense; but it wouldn’t make the retail cost any lower, so it’s basically glorified payment in instalments.
‘YoPay — yo now, pay later’
Imagine if you’d already paid a deposit a One Drop that’s having production issue (like the bimetal) back when they started producing it. Right now, One Drop could scrap the bimetal tomorrow and never say a word about it. If there were deposits, then they’d have to disappoint invested customers when a product fails to materialise, or alternatively face exacerbated pressure from customers wanting to get their yos.
Preorders are fairly rare. Only one brand comes to mind that regularly sells pre-orders on non-exclusive yo-yos, and that is more of a perk for dedicated customers.
They seem to be most common with higher priced projects. If not to cover higher costs than to make sure there is a market. I don’t think the Ultra State needs that kind of insurance.
Edit to add: splitting the cost adds administrative overhead that I would assume most companies prefer to avoid. I only (personally) know one brand that does this.
what brand lol
Dm’d
Not sure I said that but maybe I did
We had to pause Ultra State production for the Summit 2 and other things but we are in the process of finishing up the run. We also took extra time to make the run as big as possible.
And they’re all gone…
Snagged a purple, I’m hyped
Alll of them sold out? All of them? I thought there were 300!
unfortunately for my wallet, but fortunately for me, I was extremely quick with it and got my watermellow. It’s all gone…
Just the One Drop exclusives, so far. . .
Purple on the way!!! That was so fast!!! What a rush
