Aight so definitely spun a lil longer but still 6061 has longer spins, 6061 is more agile, lighter, and quicker while boosted is more floaty and I feel imo is easier to do lacerations with. Like I said not a long review
Big RT. Crucial has some of the best bearings out there. Wish they still made some aluminum yoyos.
Thanks for the update!
Broke it in a lil more, now it’s hard to choose which I like, really it’s either you like it lighter or heavier. Also the machined line mark on the outer rim of the 6061 is still on the boosted, just very faint and can only be seen up close in light.
So, you feel like the OG plays lighter? It’s actually 0.5g heavier than the Boosted, according to OD.
It does honestly, it’s quicker
So in that case, either you like a quicker agile lighter feel, or a floatier heavier feel even doe specs say it’s lighter
I’m kinda feeling like I don’t really need both.
Yeah you really don’t, one or the other
The only OD that I have both is the Wyvern. It’s one of my favorite ODs and I feel like the Boosted was an improvement.
Not tryna critique whether one was better than the other, only con to me was one spins longer, but you can’t expect both to have the same spin times right so, I really like both!
AMAZING colors! That pink purple is
Is that pano or a diorama?
On Flickr it is in a “Panorama” album…
Thank goodness, I have no reason to replace my SM Pano, but if that was the Dio, I’d be doin some pleading tonight lolol
Don’t have that 7075 Pyramatte sheen.
Any feedback on the Artifact?
Seems slept on!
oh hell yeah!
Including by me! Even though it has technically been in the rotation since it arrived.
I like it a lot. I may be just barely “full sized” by current standards, but it’s right in the range that I actually prefer. Nice, mostly V shape that rounds over enough to reduce some bite on the catch.
I have a couple of D bearing yo-yos that are generally well liked but didn’t make a first impression on me and never ended up clicking. Contrary to those, I liked the Artifact right away. I think it is a good showcase for the D bearing’s intensity.
