Not sure yet. I’ll need to play the new one a bit more.

Original wyvern was really fun. Might need to pick up this new one if they drop a cool color way with the new anodizer. Tuesday market is a godsend

Even having them both in front of me, I didn’t notice the thicker rim until I looked at your photo. It also seems like significant material has been removed from the inside of the wall and the inner “shelf” is further outboard.

It’s a nice Wyvern. If I had to make a choice, the Boosted version would be it.

Same here! I like the original and that’s why I bought the boosted, but in comparison the OG feels a litte clunky now.

bimetal cascade follow up? That’d be insane if that’s what this is

Almost looks like it was two metals turned down together instead of a press-fit bi-metal. Curious whatever this is!

I see that on the left side, but the right side looks like a single metal to my eye.

Could be the light (either way).

I just had a funny feeling that I might be starting to think I could make up a story where One Drop are masterfully building the suspense through marketing for them to produce their own bimetal yoyo, that when they finally do, which will occur many teases after this, lasting just a few more years from now, they will be able to charge $1000 per yoyo and sell out before they even go on sale. That’s the vibe I get from that post. I love you all! (conditions apply)

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, the left side looks so similar to Yoyomonster/Hydrangea bimetals. They thermal fit on the steel and then turned it as the single piece. And OD I believe produced the Death Robot MG which also used thermal fit rims, just not machined after the fit. So there’s already some kind of precedent here.

Gonna be interesting to see where this goes (if anywhere, if it’s something that might not see a release).

OK, I’m thinking that the new Boosted Wyvern may be One Drop’s best throw!

I think it comes down to shape preference. I have a regular wyvern and it’s pretty good, but I think the Top Deck is OD’s best non side effect throw(followed by the Wizard). I am hoping OD will do another run of titaniums one day.

The Top Deck is definitely a good one. I never purchased a wizard because the diameter seemed too big for my somewhat small hands.
