of the three I’ve only played the reboot. just got one recently in a trade. while i can’t compare i can say i love the reboot! like a lot. it feels amazing plays amazingly and those grooves are sick

rebirth, top deck, and grail are what i have on me atm. also have the reboot but prefer the rebirth. i don’t have a kamuraiju just yet. haven’t pulled the trigger because i have the markmont project 2 which on paper seems too similar (albeit considerably wider). i’m sure they play a lot differently though
top deck is quite powerful and very silent. rebirth/reboot is definitely less stable. i like the whir that comes from the rebirth/reboot, which i’m assuming comes from the projection profile grooves. i’ve been finding out that my preferred yoyo size is around 51-53mm diameter, so the reboot is what i would pick, but that’s just my opinion. i did also have a ton of nostalgia for the project, which adds to why i like the rebirth/reboot so much

Yeah I’m trying to feel out where my preferences lie now that my thoughts/approach on yo-yoing has changed.
When I was younger and first got into yo-yoing 56x43 was about as big as it got. It was the transitional period from plastics and YYJ hybrids to metals and 50mm diameter was basically the standard.
I’ve been throwing my TiVayder and Skywalker a decent amount lately and it’s making me want to try more modern undersized designs.

The Overture checks all my boxes and is the Goat organic from them that I have tried. I love the Wizard, just a tiny bit to big for my hands.
Panorama is a close second for me.
I have old boomer tastes so these are just my personal GOATs.

The Overture was my first OD. While I don’t play it as often as some others, every time I pick it up, I think, damn this is a great throw!

Deep down I think what I really want is a 7075 Skywalker though.
