New Arrivals from CLYW - The DITCH and The GORGE!

Haha I also bought Both a gold an purple to do this same half swap, love the pb&j vibe , although I’m quite fine having 2 yo-yos in case I ever want to go back to having a gold one and a purple one

I just ordered a Spec C Half bearing. I am going to try it on my Ditch when both arrive. It hope to make the Ditch responsive. ?

Just checked and unfortunately a half spec will not fit in the ditch. Bearing posts are too tall. Sorry about that, send me a message if you want me to remove the bearing from your order and I can help out.

AND it will save you 15 minutes of fiddling with your new half spec bearing until you have to break it off of your Ditch with some precision dremeling while potentially damaging the yoyo…

On that note - If anyone wants 10% off a Wine Red Ditch with a small knick on the bearing post hit me up!

Tracking shows Ditch should be here today, I believe that’s likely the case for many of you.

Looking forward to seeing what we all think.

I very much hope this will be the quintessential pocket unresponsive. I love my MiniStar2, and I am positive the Ditch won’t have the performance at that level, not do I expect it to. If it still plays great though, the thinner width will make it even more pocketable with a very low profile bulge in the side pocket. For some reason, that is extremely important to me.

Oh, and not sure if I brought this up, but I have a gold, anyone have a purple that wants to half swap?

Mine is gunning for the 138’s position in my daily carry bag (read, purse). Going to be a hard fight, as the 138 kills it.

Mine gets here today too!! Super stoked.

I had given up on a pocket unresponsive edc after selling my Sliver/RBC to consolidate to a Deep State, but this thing is the right size for sure!

The sliver wasn’t quite small enough, though I do enjoy it. Should have mine in a couple hours.

It has arrived! And yeah, I got stuff to say.

To start, I want it known that the pocket throw that checked all the boxes for me in the unresponsive side if things has been the Onedrop M1. And I have politely let David know that on a few occasions and gingerly mentioned how cool it would be to see that beautiful specimen rereleased. And while the answer was, probably not, I can understand his reasoning. Yoyoing has come a far way since then and just wait and see what we can do in the future and have already done since then in the realm of unresponsive pocketable throws. And he was right, but that doesn’t mean that I won’t stop being nostalgic about that beloved M1 (especially the Affogato if you haven’t heard.)

So wtf does all that have to do with the CLYW Ditch? I’ll tell you what. It is the first undersized pocketable yoyo that has made me not give a flying banana that we won’t see another Onedrop M1. And I hear those thinking, well someone just stepped into the bedroom of the honeymoon phase. And I’d politely say I’ve had more honeymoons than Wilt Chamberlain and I know when I’m with a winner.

We have a winner. I can do everything with this that I can with a full size. Yes, it can be more difficult to land a kwijybo as it’s a thinner yoyo. But guess what, when I miss that kwijybo, this thing makes me smile, and it’s a smile of, I’m gonna get you next time sucker. Just wait, you’ll know exactly what I mean as soon as you get yours.

Have I given it some love marks yet? Well if course I did, I’m the guy that put love marks in the End 2 on my first throw. I was throwing the Ditch in the kitchen and it hit the floor and I have a tiny flat spot on each side (pictured.). Do I care? Nope, it was ridiculously cheap at $50 bucks and it’s not gonna leave my pocket, a pocket that has keys in it on many occasions so you see what I’m saying here.

So yeah, @unklesteve , you did one heck of a job in this thing, and I applaud you for making my dream throw. An undersized, thin organic that I can around anywhere.

Oh, and do yourselves a favor when you guys get it, do some grinds with it, I was like “wut?”

I wish I had more to add. This is spot on. crazy fun, smol little yoyo. super incredibly happy with mine.

I think the o nly thing i can mention is it is SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH. my Borealis 2 was my smoothest yoyo I had owned before this, but I think this somehow might be more smooth. My finger barely even detects motion when I do a vibe check

I received my wine red Ditch today. It is beautiful. The fit and finish are perfect.

It is the first pocket size unresponsive that I have. I cut the string to about what I usually use. I believe it may be an inch too short. As it is, the ditch is way too aggressive for me. I am going to try a longer string tomorrow.

I guess I am spoiled by my RBC. The YYE commemorative arrived in the same shipment. I now have three! The RBC is just my perfect match. I need more time and practice with the Ditch.

Glad you love it.

I was going to get one but didn’t realize how freaking small it is lol.

I have a snack that I like to play with, and LOVE CLYW but I can’t seem to pull the trigger

Definitely understand that, we all have our preferences.

I will say, regardless of the small size, it definitely can accomplish everything for me that a full size can. I’m sure if I was way better, that that sentiment would change, but for now, it’s great being able to easily carry a throw that is capable of allowing me to perform everything I’m able to at this time.

I do miss the string more than I normally would, but that’s part of the fun trying to perfect your skills.

I’m impressed how stable it looks. All the smaller ones I have had are tilt monsters.

Is it as stable as it looks?

It’s extremely stable and I’d accredit that to it being a perfect weight for this design and of course the well thought out design and weight placements. Any stability issues with this would be on the player. On a sloppy throw I am able to correct it and get it back on axis and it’s back to stable.
