Use a real solvent
hahahahaa i can just imagine a kid scrubbin a toilet with a brush and some soy sauce lololol
Lol YoRed, too funny. Haru likes experiments, maybe he can let us know how it works.
I guess I only read “Bearings” and “Soy Sauce” in TamOcello’s question… I wouldn’t recommend solvents for everyday cleaning, but for bearings yeeee.
I don’t use lube so to clean my bearings I boil water drop the bearings in and let them sit for a few then I take out the bearings using a strainer and I put the bearings in a empty pan and then go back to use the stove as a tool for evaporating the water that’s left. Works quite well actually. Leaves bearings super dry and clean

- String cutting on sidewalk edge.
We e been there, need to shorten string but nothing to cut off the excess with.
Learned this from Yosshi, take the part you want cut, go to any street corner, and rapidly pull down and toward you holding the two ends close to where you want the cut. Works perfect. Use a lighter to seal off the end so it doesn’t fray, and you’re good to go!
I learned this from Yoshi too! It’s helped me a few times when I needed to cut string. But I always have atleast a pocket knife with me now, so haven’t needed to do this in a while.

Haru, I thought you said you’ve never cleaned your bearings?
And noonar… why the need for two pictures in your sig?
Because i like pictures
Soy sauce is very delicious.
Ok, I just used some Soy Sauce on my Ronin’s bearing. Plays smoothly. Feels like the bearing is lightly lubed
