Happy Day!
My Summit 2 was just delivered today! I was so excited, I had to tell someone about it, and I felt there was no better place than here!
After throwing it for the last half day, my initial feelings are that it plays better than the original. Which I was not expecting, since the original is one of my all time favorite throws ever!
If you’d like a description, it feels very retro! ( Serka 2013) Its not as light and floaty like many yoyos are today. Instead it feels very smooth, chill and deliberate like many return tops were back when I first started.
I haven’t personally weighed the Summit 2 yet, but if I were going describe it to anyone, I’d say it plays just like a slightly heavier CLYW Chief. Which makes sense, because when i compared the two the designs are very similar.
When i toss around the original summit, I definitely feel the One drop part of the collaboration shine through.
But when I toss around the new Summit 2, it feels different. This time I definitely feel the CLYW part of the collaboration surface.
I wanted to write my opinions down right away. Since I haven’t had a chance to read any reviews previous to my experience with the Summit 2 today, and Ill tell you that my experience has been overall very positive!
Upon release, I know they went out of stock quickly… But if / when a restock happens, I highly suggest you pick one up. You’ll have a blast with it! I know I’m super enjoying it!
In my opinion whenever these two companies collaborate… you can always expect something special!
