try {
  runMethod();
} catch (Exception e) {
  logFailure();
  throw e;
}

Also “throw” is another word for yoyo, and “catch” is something you do with one, and “try” is what you do to land tricks.

Deep insights, indeed. :thinking:

@TryCatchThrow, I’ve always been curious about your image. What’s the story with Vim?

I think it’s a reference to the enhanced version of the vi screen editor in linux

My dad’s name is Robert, so they named me Robert as well.

My username is…well…my name.

EXCEPT THAT MY REAL NAME IS Baron Radness von Throwington Esq.

I thought it was about some philosophy of trying as many throws as possible lol, like you would try them and move them along to try more

Python ruins it by using “except” and “raise”. I still type the wrong ones every time.

I always just assumed you loved the mk1&throwspiral sliver, which was weird, cuz it’s not a bapezilla :joy:
Makes much more sense now lol

I know nothing of MTG, it looks cool though. I love the art.

@L0v3Machine is correct. Vim is a modal text editor: https://www.vim.org/

As it is my profile picture you may infer that I am a fan. I have been using it professionally for over a decade now.

I do have a confession though that recently I’ve been working a little in VSCode. I do not use Vim mode in VSCode because I hit too many rough edges, usually around VSCode and Vim hotkeys and modalities colliding.

Truth be told I think in C++.

Every time I google “how to exit vim” I now think of Keith. I might have to google that more often than I would like to admit though.

VSCode gang.

I called my solo music project Bigstupidbees because I was tired of the usual usernames I use. I ended up liking it a lot so I used it as my name here too! Haven’t recorded or uploaded much in years but maybe soon… just been so busy and mentally all over the place. I’ll get there! :triumph: :sunglasses:

Nathan is short for Nathaniel. I like Nathaniel but like, my mom calls me Nathaniel :joy: I’m not really too picky but I always introduce myself as Nathan.

My initials are A.F.K
I wanted to turn that into a name somehow so I just added -or to the end of it. Sounds kinda cool I think :kissing:

That seems to be a break in the English language, that you can ad “- or” to make basically anything into a name. Tableor, Chairor, Pencilor, Yoyor, Waterclosetor, Humanor, Idiotor, Nameor…

your initials remind me of (J.F.K.)

My real name - I was named after my 2 grandfathers and an uncle. My younger cousin also had the same name as his father, the aforementioned uncle. It got confusing at times. As noted elsewhere, “There can be only one.” I outlived them all. :wink:

My forum name came from when I worked in IT. The practice in the company was to use your initials and the last 4 digits of your phone number when registering on vendor support websites. Seemed like a good idea as any at the time and I just kept it for all my online stuff.

Glenacius K came from me adapting my name to the same kind of sound as the band name ‘Tenacious D’.

I called my yoyo company Spinworthy because, I thought is sounded decent.
