Amazing.
There are much easier ways to cut a taper that is that short. Just lock down the carriage, set the left-hand tool bit to the desired angle, and slowly work your way in by turning the dial for the cross slide.
it actually wasnt that difficult, i got it pretty smooth so i only had to sand a little bit
did this tonight green zero is sili recessed w/sticker lip removed, white zero is highwalled and sili recessed, freerider is single side pad recessed (one pad is stock height)
and the blast on the freerider is one of the best i have ever used and just feels incredible
just made this, it sits in the nut area with a round tenon on the back (same idea as using a hex nut in the circular recess of an m1 to stack it) and sits just above where the nut would be once its tightened, its also flush with the post on the zero
this is actually made for a fhz whereas the last spike i made was a top tip that happened to fit, this is a much tighter fit and attaches with no modifications to the yoyo
I’m love’n this thread!!! Keep the pix coming!
Whoa, that’s hot!!! Good job!!!
used the y factor halves from the 1drop mod fodder kit and cut a bearing seat into it
this was actually pretty easy considering the bearing post is already there and i just took the measurements off of a dingo’s bearing seat, ive got sili drying in it now
Y - Factor for 20$ and a little work
nice!
im VERY happy with how the y factor turned out, a small vibe but you really cant feel it on the string
better shot of the bearing seat, the sili job is pretty crappy, i did it kinda fast
super smooth, the spacers arent as tight as the ones in the fhz Cyclontzy did that I have but its just as smooth
and no theyre not recessed at different depths, the pic just makes it look that way
when r u goin to show more mods
been on vacation all week, did these all this morning. 2 sili recessed, 1 single side pad recessed, 1 with lb spacers
took off the starburst from my buddy’s patriot and recessed it
all recessed zeros and the lb zero are up for sale
made the body on the wood lathe, recessed for the bearing and the groove for the o ring on the metal lathe
Ok, that top is just AWESOME!!!
thanks man, im gonna get a d size bearing for it, the a size is a bit too loose so i had to put tape on the edge to get it to fit
wow man ur crazy!
awesome top!
how does it play?
Does anyone else agree that this is just totally stupendous?
