Yeah, for sure. I wouldn’t do something like that. That would certainly not be holding up your end of the sponsorship! But things are more anonymous here anyway.
And to be fair, Sengoku yoyos are probably the best competition throws I’ve tried, and so they would be my first priority for my pocket money. But I don’t need to buy them, so now when I’m in the mood to buy a yoyo (a rare occurrence) I tend to look at whatever strikes my fancy and looks fun, rather than straight line competition performance, which is my true love.
For my recent yoyo impulse buys, along with the non-impulse purchase of the Butterfly AL and the Freehand AL, on impulse I decided to get a 4A yoyo since I don’t have any and bought the iYoyo Skylight. I learned how to do the throw, catch bind inside, but was waiting for this weekend to test it out outside. Now that im home from work (60 hour week, fml), it is so windy out that I can’t possibly expect to throw any yoyo outside, let alone a new yoyo style.
Oh, and 3 of those delicious looking Porykon counterweights. The ones with the bearing of course, because I love the yotricks one (it really helps with string tension). While it was an impulse, I also thought that I had to act quickly before the colors I wanted sold out. Only one of them has already (the yellow).
Other impulse buys - Casio Burton edition Mudmaster and the Casio NASA edition square. The NASA watch hasn’t left my wrist all week (fits under a lab coat much nicer than the bulky Mudmaster).
Looking for a good yoyo 45-90 dollar range… Can’t be green, but obviously I would have options. I’m fresh out of ideas for a model. I want something lighter than the the shutter, but something with a gap width wide enough so plutonium width strings would fit without too much snagging. I think the shutter runs 65g, it’s width is fine. Examples of yoyo’s I like are: chezh point, shutter, kuntosh, wedge. I’m not a fan of smaller yoyo(s), they seem to me to be like rocks on strings. Any ideas would be great…
The sunbird is a pretty big fan favorite, also they just restocked the sengoku ashigaru, and in my honest opinion you can never go wrong with a sengoku
One Drop’s The Fat Tire is great, I think you’ll like it if you like the Küntosh. There’s one in stock at A2Z but the color isn’t specified. If you want green specifically you’ll probably have to go to the BST.
Also the JUJI by Shurikenyoyos / @luiplken001 looks really cool and interesting and I think there was a green one. I haven’t personally tried it though.
ETA: haha I can’t read in the morning, you said NOT green. Well good news, both The Fat Tire and the JUJI come in colors other than green
i had bought a FYFO…. even though i checked it out months before and figured it wasn’t for me…. was a total impulse buy beyond belief…. not even time to think it over…. good yoyo, but i knew it wasn’t for me lol… gotta stick with my gut
A couple weeks ago I woke up and got online to browse, I do it out of habit now, and to my surprise that recent batch of MCMO’s dropped. I thought it was a dream. I gasped!!. My girlfriend said “what!?” I looked up at her, responded “huh!?, Nothing!”,and as I looked back down I was clicking paynow. It all happended so fast!!!
My recent purchase was not exactly impulse, only unexpected. One great man sold me a grail a few weeks ago, and now it is sitting on my desk at home. I am admiring the view of a mirror polished yoyo, standing on a velvet pouch to prevent any scratches, for a two days now. Will show the thing in a couple of days in another thread, i just need a little of “honeymoon time”
One man said “you will find anything, only thing you need - to stop wishing”. Now i understand this
