The light plugs into USB though. Rather have a regular plug or something that can be powered by the phone.

You can always use a USB wall adapterā¦I have several of them I use. You can get them at the Dollar Tree for a buck and they work just fine!

Or I could use one of those rechargeable USB power bricks and plug the light and phone into itā¦

Iāll have to see what I end up getting. Maybe having the light on the tripod isnāt the best way to setup the lighting, I just donāt know. Any idea? Maybe I should get one of those backlight things that @MoonageMin got.

Yeah, Iād love to get some ideas from people on how to do some proper lighting for yo videos. Itās something Iām struggling with.
Iām thinking about getting some black shirts just for these videos and then hanging some black sheets up on my closet where I do most my videoing in an attempt to get the string to pop out a bit more lol.

I hadnāt even tried Superflow until yesterday. Satisfying to pull off (ooh-er!) and looking forward to smoothing it out somewhat

Thanks! I have been yoyoing a while longer than you though which is probably why ti came together as quick as it did. I feel like I should be a lot better than I am at this stage but I progress at my own pace. I like to get things as good as I can before moving on to new stuff!

I used to do those Yomega online contests back in the day. I started with a Yomega transaxle and it came with a little booklet. I learn all those tricks for the beginner contest. That earned me Yomega gift cards to get something better. After that, I learned from the ooch videos until I found yoyo expert with andreās videos. Until posting here Iāve only sent videos to yomega. Also, I made a video for kwijibo on this thread!

Yomega was super cool back in the day. I wasnāt a big fan of their yos, but the company itself did a lot to spread and promote the hobby.
I went to a Yomega contest in vegas in 2003 and won the noob division. That was pretty fun.
I also once e-mailed them and told them I was planning on doing a yo-yo class at my local library for some kids and asked if they had any tips or ideas for me.
The lady e-mailed me back and said sheād send a package out to me. I thought she was going to send me an envelope with a list of tricks and stuff.
Nope.
She sent me a HUGE box full of 24 yoyos (fireballs, raiders and brains)ā¦with the same number of lube, packs of string, yo holsters, instruction books and instruction VHS tapes.
It was one of the coolest things ever!

I liked the mini tripod I showed you because I an throw it in a backpack and take it with me if I go anywhere cool.
Not sure how small that one gets, and the light is it detachable? (probably right?)

Yeah, I like the one you showed me, but it needs to be a bit taller. Thereās a few that were cheap and should work. Not gonna get the one with the light.
