Oh lord I’m excited!
I can’t wait to grind on these yoyos man. Raw throws hurt to grind on xD
Have a couple new colors too.
Oh geez. More for me to want
Oh, he is back. Is back and better than ever. We missed ya bob. Glad to see more PC jobs. Keep 'em coming.
Man, you’re getting better and better!
Not back to the general public as of yet.
Can you put multiple coats of different colors? As in make it red then green then blued then yellow. After that sand it , but not through all the coats, that way random colors are kinda everywhere. Kinda like the guitar Brett talked about in his retirement video.
WOW!!! Just amazing Bob… I have no words, can’t wait to see how the other comes out. Thanks a lot for this great job.
I think it can be done but may need to tweak the application a bit.
Awesome. Btw your powders are great. I have followed this thread since i first got here and you have never ceased to amaze me.
How do you mask? :o It looks so perfect!
Carefully!
Eneme in a gunmetal green! Has a touch of silver flake in it gives it just a touch of shimmer.
This Eneme has been coated several times with powder, polished and blasted and even been through a failed ano. Needless to say it is very tired and this will be the last coat of any sort to be applied.
Is that the same Eneme that was first powder coated trans blue, then white with red hubs, then blue/pink flat ano? Either way, that color fits the Eneme very well!
That’s him. Rough life.
Been meaning to post in this thread again for a while. A while back I shared some experiences with powdercoating. Every powdercoat I’d ever felt was tacky/grippy - on yoyos, bicycles, and other applications. At NER I got the chance to try a few yoyos that mullicabob powdercoated and it was totally different from what I’m familiar with. I wouldn’t say it feels like anodization - it was more like the eggshell coat on the original Peak in texture. In any event, it wasn’t tacky at all and was very good for grinds. Keep up the good work, MB!
I appreciate it. There are tons of options out there as far as powder goes. Colors, textures and even a few specialty items that set them apart from the standard stuff. Through some learning experiences there are ways to apply the powder that can coax textures and depths of colors.
Can’t belief what I’m seeing, that is gorgeous! You absolutely nailed it. I know you you worked hard to get those colors right, thanks a bunch.
