Markmont. Nylon strings and 10-pack samplers

Improbable as it may seem, it’s been the unfortunate case.

Per the recommendations, these are actually all in the soup of discussion. We’ll be sharing updates here, website, and in newsletter once the final updates/decisions are completed.

This is what I was hoping the regular would deliver for some thinner gaps. Nylon reduces drag, but a lot of current nylon options are on the thick side, which reduces the benefit. The regular delivers, but the thin delivers even better.

Just wanna say yo, I absolutely love the markmont formulas. Slowly trying all the new ones right now. Thick cumulus foam is invaluable to me when I play 3a. I love that the extra thickness allows for me to still bind on wide gap yo-yos with short string and also has the slickness I need to not cause snagging.

Got mine too! :love_you_gesture:t3:
The Nylon strings have a great whip and response! The only complaint would be that they feel super rough, like sanding my fingers lol any tips on making it smother?

They’re usually softer after they break in and after you wash them. Your fingers will also get used to roughness. But it does feel odd at first.

Is their durability actually close to one year per piece as announced on the markmont website? If yes, this seems crazy.

If you wash them and play like 10 hrs a week yeah probably. I used a c foam for like 6 months before a thread broke but also played that Yoyo a ton and didn’t wash it as frequently as I could have. They take a long time to break in but then they’re very consistent in how they play which is super nice. Being able to use a string for month before taking it off to wash it is definitely a big reason I love these strings.
