I wondered if he was referring to me when speaking of “suckers in the east…” It has been a looong time since I knew anything about snow days. I’ll tell you this much, it takes a lot more than 2" of snow to even slow traffic here. You don’t even bother to scoop that off the drive. Just back the car out and go. I have family in southwest New Mexico. If they get 2" of snow they close not only the schools, but the interstates and major highways as well. After the first inch they figure they can go sledding. Their idea of a sand/salt truck is some guy in the bed of a pickup with a shovel.
