I was looking on amazon and i saw a new magicyoyo! The ho1. It’s a yoyo that is made of plastic and has a fingerspin cap. It costs about 28 Dollars to about 32 dollars.
If anyone has any comments on this yoyo, pros or con, please feel free to add them here.
Please stay on topic and keep it congenial.
Thanks for reopening my post!
I will try to reply to all questions
Ok, any reason why this particular model? Was it the price or do you need that finger spin dimple? And with kids and dna, well that’s almost mandatory these days.
It can do amazing finger grinds for a plastic yoyo
$28 seems kinda steep for a plastic magic yoyo. The stats look like it would be one of the nicer magic yoyos. You can get equal or better cheaper plastics on YYE. If your trying to throw something in on your parents Amazon cart, the v10 is $17, has fingerspin dimple, and it’s aluminum. V10 isn’t as wide though.
My 2cents on it from trying it out and since I haven’t seen much about it:
I have the H01 and it’s a solid performer. It’s actually up there now as one of my favorite designs from MYY. Even though it’s plastic it has a really nice weighty feel to it, very long spin times, a lot of stability, and very comfortable in the hand. It has a kind of H-shape profile to it but the rims are wide and rounded which helps a lot with that comfort feel. Catch zone makes it nice for tricks and pretty responsive too on the binds.
I got a galaxy colorway and I love the finish on it (galaxy versions are polyethylene instead of polycarbonate) so it kind of feels like delrin which I like. I can’t speak on the PC versions but the PE is really smooth with finger grinds.
All in all, if you think you might like it, I would definitely recommend it, like I said, it’s one of my faves from MYY right now and very enjoyable if you like a heavier throw feel but with the comfort of a plastic.
This looks …EXACTLY like an iYoyo Shooting Star, or am I just crazy?
Hoping someone will take the hit and compare the two. I do like the Magicyoyo H01’s blue-purple fade.
I think you’re just crazy. A lot of machined plastics look “similar” but H01 is way more shutterlike than shooting star imo.
Interesting. I would be open to testing one, but I have a second Speedaholic XX and a first Shooting Star on the way already. I’ll wait for some reviews. I’m curious as to how it compares … Magicyoyo generally seems to have good quality, so it would be a nice alternative. I just wish the price were more Magicyoyo-like.
EDIT: The more I look, the more I see some slight differences between this and both the Speedaholic XX and Shooting Star. Would love to see direct side-by-side comparisons.
I have red with gold hub. Looks so good. Feels good in the hand and as stated above plays good. I don’t think you will regret buying
I was thinking the same about it being pretty similar. The shooting star and speedaholic feel pretty similar I know that. I was saying earlier the Speedaholic just feels a bit more solid from the extra weight. I like the finish on the Speedaholic a little more too it’s more bead blasted feeling.
The polyethylene versions of the magicyoyo one look pretty cool.
If you think it’s cool then get it. That’s my answer.
It’s cool but I have higher priority yoyos on my long list of yoyo wants. I think I’m gonna get a sonic wave next.
Although I will have to say, these Cloud H01’s are what those old school Fakkies should have been. They give the “look I’m throwing skate board wheels”
It looks like the surface of the spin cup might vary between colorways. Are some versions not blasted?
Bearing comes off without a tool
Sometimes…
Nah man, I havent seen this anywhere except for amazon
