My votes for the alpha crash
Alpha Crash. Looks super slick, and plays great. One of the nicest looking plastics ever IMO. The purple ring on the caps looks great in the sun.
I would also look into a cheap metal off the BST. You can get great deals. I recently scored a mint Avant Garde for $40.
The YYR Diffusion has to be one of the best plastics of all time. Completely shadows the V, Severe, Alpha Crash, and I like it better than the Protostar and Northstar.
I would get a Protostar. 
Yes, the BST is the way to go. I scored a near mint Sasquatch for $60 at the Redondo Pier Kite Festivle, meaning you could score something beat for really cheap if you look really hard.
