LoneStar Throws

Been working on this bimetal project for the last 6 months and I’m proud to say that I finished it. From designing to machining, every step was a challenge but it was all worth it.

Talk about that shape! Curious about the angle right after the response pads.

Looks nice. 6061 and stainless?

The idea was to help the string wrap up over itself easier for a tighter bind. Also helps with horizontal play a bit too

I think that’s exactly what he just did!

@tommywoh if I’m not mistaken, you ran the lathe yourself to make this, right? That’s really really cool if so.

Wondering why you choose “Lone Star Throws”. Are you from Texas too?

Yup machined them myself, the only process that was not by me was anodizing which was done by gruntbull

Very cool. The Ano looks great, which is exactly what you expect from Gruntbull. When I saw the pictures last night, I thought the ano was quality, now I know the reason.

Throw back to some prototypes in the earlier stages. The first one was a rim weighted monster that had no walls for a tight bind
