Seeking a responsive yoyo. I was suggested the Janus but seems to be impossible to locate any model or colorway. This will be my first yoyo since the yomega era. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I hope i posted in the correct category.

The Janus is pretty small. It’s really cool to have but I wouldn’t recommend for everyday play. My recommendation is a Spinworthy x Mk1 plasm! It’s one of the most fun responsives I have and pretty versatile.

I agree with @Lydia. I’m obsessed with my Janus. But the major selling points for me are that it is SO pocketable and I like to fidget with it in my hands (not actually throwing) because it has that worry-stone-like form factor. I don’t use it for earnestly trying to learn tricks 
If you’re looking for more forgiving, but still “nice” yoyos the Plasm is sick, and the One Drop Deepest State is super rad and will probably drop on YYE soon (so it’ll be much easier to get your hands on than something like a Janus).

I also use the Janus as a worry stone lol. It comes with me to every big exam!

Since the plasm isn’t going to be a super easy find, another affordable alternative is the yotricks origen.
Designed by the same man that designed the plasm.

I have one and it is more of a collector’s yo-yo and not very functional. It’s only about the size of a half dollar and it mimics a worry coin that you can take apart. I wouldn’t recommend it for getting back into yo-yoing either.

Origen - If you want a classic butterfly design and want to focus on 1A style String Tricks.
El Mijo SL - If you want to look into Modern Responsive style (Contains fixed axle stall tricks)
Note: Mijo SL is capable of 1A style string tricks. The landing the yoyo on the string will be easier with the Origen initially.
