Yea man I had one back in the day and remember enjoying it but thinking it was a bit too large. Nowadays though it’s pretty comparable to the norm regarding size.

I just picked up 2009 Stargazer from Vega which I did not realize is basically just a smaller Sleipnir. I had a OG stargazer back in 08 or so but have been very impressed with this version so that’s what made me decide to start looking for its bigger brother.

What are you using for pads? No one really makes .5mm thickness pads and silicone doesn’t stick that well in such a shallow recess. That’s one of the big reasons I’m hesitant to purchase old yyr.

Haha i’ll be honest man I have so many different yoyos and am constantly switching back and forth that in the 3 years since I came back to the hobby I have only had to change the pads on a single yoyo. So unfortunately I can give no advice on that haha. Not sure what is in it currently? Kinda looks like a really good sili job.

I actually haven’t had a problem with RTV in my old YYR, but you could try abrading the response so that silicon will adhere better.

You can use sturm panzer CP-05 pad. It fits perfectly with older yyr with right diameter and 0.5 mm thickness.
