Let’s talk 3D printing

I made weights for the Butterfly xt, honestly turned out nice and was surprisingly easy design, l still have the stock bearing in my newly modded butterfly so it makes for a really solid/heavy 0A throw

Looking for some caps for my asora v3 and oasis, anyone up to print me some tpu ones

I actually have a stack of TPU caps I printed for the Asora. They also kinda fit the oasis, kinda. You can have a some.

At some point I’m gonna do real oasis caps that fit it better. If I do them before I send you a package I’ll include them.

V2 of the Huntrix concert light stick. Moar glitter. Also thicker at my daughter’s request to more closely match the movie.

Working on a surprise crazier version of it that really goes nuts.

My kids watched the k pop thing and it’s catchy I get the appeal

I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would. Of course, my youngest likes it enough that I’ve now seen it more times that I’d care to, but such is life.

Super cool! Definitely not printing any of those for my kids though lol. They are noisy enough as it is.

Let it be known that I absolutely never go overboard.

Final version of the concert light stick accepts a small flashlight.

I call this the Minificer its a variation of @AudreySickburn Artificer. Smaller diameter, wider, fingerspin and schmooved. This is the third version I’ve printed but rather happy with how this one turned out.

And we are back to the regularly scheduled yo-yo programming. I wanted something between a Harbinger and a TK Fat Cat. My first yo-yo purposefully designed to be printed in polycarbonate.

This is the Mrs85. Original art by me. Might order color stickers instead of printing my own with dithering, haven’t decided yet.

How is it printing pc? I normally print petg but I want to try pc out

Depends on your printer and the model. It needs high temps (nozzle 275-300, bed 100-110, and enclosure to keep ambient temps up), and the filament also needs to be dry. If you can handle all of that, then printing smaller objects in PC should be a breeze and they should print really cleanly. Larger things, or designs with high internal stresses (high infill mixed with sharp corners, etc.) can have issues with warping. Yoyo size objects are on the cusp where warping tends to become an issue size-wise, but are also generally round enough that warping isn’t a problem.

It does put out some nasty VOC’s (and BPA). It’s not as bad as ABS or ASA, but enough that you really should have good ventilation.

MinerJ nailed it really. I only use my Prusa CoreOne because it has a heated chamber and a good filtration unit I installed. I would say so far printing in PC has been pretty easy, it does overhangs better than PLA and prints so clean it’s obscene.

I have had issues with warping on yo-yos when I used certain sheets. I usually throw down some magigoo PC formula and then no warping issues.

Looks dope, how’s it play?

Seems pretty darn good to me. It’s a lot lighter than many of my other designs, about 49 grams. I’ll probably send some testers out to some folks soon.

I think I’ll call this weekends creation Goliath. Weighing in at 88gms packed into a 64.5mm diameter and a 66mm width volume. It’s a bit beefy to say the least. It has an Asa hub, a pet g inner ring and a tpu outer ring.
