Finally got my transparent PLA Planet playing. The last pair of pads I put in seemed not great. I had thought it was the PLA resisting the adhesive, but I think it was just the specific pads. A new set seems to be fine.
Well that’s definitely going to have to go on my wishlist for my bee-themed shelf, haha!
It’s definitely worthy.
And since I promised it was good at 0A (even though I’m not the best lol.)
It stalls like a champion. To be able to do those 1A responsive tricks on the earlier video, and then 0A in this one, and to feel natural in both, it just seems so rare to find a yoyo that can do that so well.
My new unresponsive. Not yet named. C bearing. Should be around 65g but I haven’t weighed it yet. About 54mm x 46mm. Double rim.
Spaceballs, The Yo-Yo. My second unresponsive design. It vibes so much if not thrown with absolute precision. But I love it. I gotta print a couple more to make sure it’s consistent before I share files.
I like the design and concept!
It should probably transform into a MegaMaid somehow. Or at least include a Cracker Jack ring to help channel the Schwartz when throwing. Maybe have one side have the upside and the other the downside? Some metal rings would probably improve the vibe actually… (though maybe the gemstones would remove that benefit)
Or you could do 3a with them - try not to get your Schwartz twisted.
I loved everything about this comment.
I’m considering printing a portion of the ball in stainless steel filament to better balance the Schwartz and improve spin time.
Anyone have any STLs of yo-yos? I have an x1c just waiting to print some yo-yos! Haha
Here’s my Honeycomb model on Makerworld:

My 2nd P1S combo arrived today. Yoyo production doubled! Need to check with IT at work to see if they’ll let me put one in my office, since finding space for it at home will be tough.
Today I printed the 3DM by @redzaku.
It’s pretty nice. Mine came out a little vibey but I tend to remove supports poorly
Mega Maid edition. The extra weight on the outer region made a big difference, reduced vibe, longer spin, bigger Schwartz.
Just cover it with a camo blanket or something similar- they wont even notice dog
Last print of someone else’s design for today (probably) is @daletubat’s Intro. Holy ****. I feel like I downloaded a Shooting Star. If I got better hardware I would be 1000% confident handing this out as a beginner throw at club. Super capable.
Two prints to show off, somewhat related.
First is my D bearing Planet. This one I put TPU pads in first but they were not up to the task. I siliconed it now and wow is it a player. If I find a good source for D bearings, I might make a few more.
The bearings I bought for making D bearing Planets were crunchy, but waste not want not. I designed the Crunchy to use these bearings.
Due to a minor human error this one has no response system . I had designed it with an 8 hole response so I don’t need to silicone or find D bearing pads (I’ve had no luck with that yet). In re-running it as I type, with holes. Even without them, the yoyo plays just not as snappy as I like.
Make your own Spaceballs, the Yo-Yo today!
