First one wasnāt quite right, you gotta do a bit more to get the final mount right before you start dropping strings. Take a closer look.
Second one was spot on though.

You missed the undermount for the bind. Wouldnāt count for trick ladder but Iāll count it here

Yea I figured it out while playing around with the whip after I filmed. Ill refilm with the right ending mount and just replace the original vid once I upload it

I was working on the hook today. Iāve almost got it. I still need to learn most of the rest of the trick though.

Trick #2:
Havenāt figured out how to do the bind so I recorded this first, hope it still counts!
Even if it does, any tips on the bind? I can get the string into the gap but canāt get it to catch the response.

That totally counts. Ticked this off for you on my list.
As for the bind, you have to whip it really hard and pull down. If you look, my hand is pretty close to the yoyo when the string hits the gap so the loop is really big, then I pull down hard to make the string catch the response. Thicker string and more aggressive response helps a lot.

Iām late to this game.
Iāve done the Figure 8 a couple of times, but usually the strings twist up. Iām trying to figure out what the difference isā¦
Edit: OK, looking at a tutorial on just Figure 8, I think itās that you have to make sure the yoyo swings out past the NTH as it swings around.

That bind is pretty close, you just gotta have the yoyo higher and whip the string harder. Once it warms up outside, you should definitely practice it as I donāt think itāll take you long at all.
