Maybe i’m doing the trick wrong, but i’m going as fast as i can, cut i can’t get under 1:30!

I can’t get it under a minute yet, but in general these things are ultimately going to be needed to set records:

  1. The shortest possible string to accomodate the trick (I used a significantly shorter one than my normal)

  2. Always always do the first pop and “swing around” together in one motion. If you can, do the second pop with the momentum from the swing-around. (I did the first swing around, but not the fluid second pop)

  3. No pops should “hang in the air then land”, your hand motion should be directing the yoyo to the string as quickly as possible. For the landing of the second pop, pull your hands apart to force tension on the string which will pull it down to the D-o-N (here’s where I could REALLY shave time off. I never do this trick for speed, so I’m used to just lobbing it in the air. Which is what I did this time, too)

Just wanna make sure you’re dong it right: 1)double-or-nothing 2)dismount 3)roll 4) repeat. If your doing all those things 50 times in under a minute i’m absolutely amazed.

I have never timed a Matrix so I can’t be skeptical yet. But I would say 30 in a minute would be going very fast already.

Current record’s 1:15 been practicing a lot. I think andy’s going to win this one easily. I’m aimng for top three. I really need to beat zorro to get back in the lead ::slight_smile:

I probably won’t be able to do any of the challenges on time this week. Kind of sad, part of the fun was watching the clock for the start, and then hurrying to send a pm when I finally finished.
