I like my yo-yos like I like my blood cells... (A Blood Cell, RBC, and Plasm Appreciation Thread)

I’ve had more luck with finding ones I want through messaging ppl directly who I’ve seen have them than waiting for someone to come to me

I think $130-$140 is a good headspace to be in for any RBC, just mentally. I’ve seen them go for anywhere from $80 (then you can be excited) or $160+ (then you aren’t too outside your mental budget at least).

Original sale price 4 years ago was ~$85 ($95 for the Unknown).
Not sure about the Watermelon, but the UN version only had x37 made.

I don’t know what the etiquette is on the forum, but unless the person has posted saying they are considering selling or has posted it on the BST in the past without it selling I personally would never cold call to try to buy someone’s yoyo. I want to say it seems rude but I’m also autistic and sometimes struggle with social interaction so I’m not exactly the North Star on these things. :woman_shrugging:

I have cold called before but I didn’t feel very good about doing so, I definitely agree, make a looking for and bump daily would be what I’d try

Not really like that, usually I’d ask about it before going in on whether or not they have that sort of intention in a more modest, casual way. I only really did it when I got to a point where it was my last bet in a way

@Son-of-Morris has a sweeet SW collection!

If you want to follow the super cool story of the release/mystery, there’s a thread that will take you on a wild ride of it too, haha. Basically they released it with no promotion or fanfare about the collab, then sat around and waited for people to figure it out.

This thread has got me realizing we truly did live through a glorious era of RBC’s being readily available at multiple retailers and Glen doing weekly drops of fixies.

Updated Blueberry :blueberries: pic, this little dude pretty much goes everywhere with me. Setup Fixie-mod.

When the RBC is your favourite yo-yo, you gots to have some spares. (Silver: Fixie-mod, Unknown and Red: Stock) Also, a Red Oak Bloodcell with 6-hole response, that is my favourite handmade SW.
(Update better pic)

I’m getting a purple PLASM for Father’s Day (it’s really good, y’all in for a treat, don’t tell my wife I took this picture.:joy:)

Unfortunately for me, I missed that era. But fortunately for me, I just now received a tracking notification that a few B grade Plasms were delivered.

And despite having a Plasm in my pocket as I type this, I’m wondering if I have time to run home at lunch to grab that package…

Is one fixie and the other one stock? Pretty much all you need in life. :joy:

Yup. Gold one has an MR85 bearing filled with 2-part epoxy in it. Red one is stock.
