I like my yo-yos like I like my blood cells... (A Blood Cell, RBC, and Plasm Appreciation Thread)

I’m autistic and noise sensitive the sound of even a lubed bearing in the RBC makes me want to lay down on the ground and die on the spot or run screaming through a plate glass window. Same with most Ti yo-yos. Most dry bearings too honestly.

I’m glad I had the good sense to not watch this video of a dry bearing in one, it would probably destroy me for the day and I have work to do :joy:

My family is also autistic and so all unresponsives, Ti, or other noisy bearings are played in my office workshop alone with noise canceling headphones on.

You’re not alone, also a fan of the RBC scream.
But it’s a unique sound, not a fan of regular dry bearings, just specifically on the RBC, or the Flying Lemon. There’s something about them that’s different sounding.

The AL Freehand One has a nice hiss, also the Confusion. It’s not a hiss but I love the sound of Deep/Deeper States also with the dry bearing. I actually like the way many of my throws sound. @AudreySickburn I was going to invite you to try my Modded Responsive PIF but I think… maybe you would be driven to unspeakable torments by all the dry bearings in there.:rofl:

At a minimum the package would end up getting some lubed bearings and bearing blanks added to it along with a warning note for the next victim.

I gotta say, not what I’d hoped for, and they don’t really work with the semi-transparent colors and rounded shapes of the Plasm. The one I expected to like the least, dark/purple, is actually the only one I kinda like, mostly because it’s subtle.

I sometimes like a little noise, but also a freshly lubed OD10b can be dead silent, and it’s super trippy, makes it hard to gauge speed sometimes! I love em tho

I have some with grease and some dry. It’s really always about getting the response I want, the sound or the lack there of is just a byproduct. I embrace it as part of each one’s character.

The red splash looks like some weird alien in a battle stance with some kind of whip thingy in one hand and a shield in the other.

That dark/purple is actually a crazy good combo on those.

Now that’s all I can see when I look at it! I think the colorway is called “Scrubs” which is ironic because I wear green scrubs for work and sometimes they do get bloody
