The minimalist design language that defined the Triple Zero returns in a refined hybrid form.
The Triple Zero Hybrid stays true to the elegance of the original lineup, featuring Luftverk’s iconic inset ring design, now executed with stainless steel instead of aluminum. This change allows for a more compact 55mm diameter while delivering a noticeably more stable and controlled weight distribution than traditional plastic designs.
By using stainless steel for the inset ring, the Hybrid Triple Zero achieves the rotational power needed to handle complex trick sets with ease, without sacrificing the smooth, floaty feel the series is known for. The result is a yo-yo that feels powerful yet light in play, with excellent stability and effortless control.
The smaller diameter makes this one of the most comfortable Luftverk plastics to date, fitting naturally in the hand without feeling oversized or undersized. It is simple at first glance, but carefully engineered, blending years of design evolution into a clean, modern hybrid that feels just as good on the string as it looks on the desk.
Without even touching it, I have no doubt that plays pretty darn well.
I think I have about four of the titanium triple zeros? That’s pretty dope when you can’t remember how many of something that you have… But oh well I guess it’s better to remember having about four or something than having to remember that you have none of something, lol.
I have a couple of the 7068 hybrid triple zeros. And I have three of the straight plastic triple zeros.
I think for the shape and size, it would be hard to talk the straight titanium 000. But this one would certainly play with more power and stability than the all plastic one. That doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the old plastic one. That just means that the hybrid probably plays better.
It probably plays pretty much on par with a 7068 bi-metal. But the polycarbonate would give it a completely different feel in hand and on the fly.
I knew this one was coming… But nobody told me… It was just logical. I mean, you have a full exotic metal. And then you have an aluminum steel combination. And them to bring something in at a lower price point, the all plastic fit the bill. And now the plastic metal hybrid lands between the plastic and the 7068..
It certainly seems to be a more economical option for people that don’t want to or can’t afford to pay over $100 for a hybrid yo-yo. And I don’t mean to suggest that the over $100 hybrid options aren’t worth every penny. But for people either on a budget or would just rather spend 70 on a yo-yo in another 30 on string or a centering bearing, etc. this sucker might just be the hot ticket.
And remember when you spend over $100, you get free FedEx shipping. That right there helps offset your investment.
Geez… I just reread my text for errors and I sound like a car salesman. And while I’m on that subject did I tell you about the extended warranty? Free oil change, bearing rotation and our new string renew lotion? Tell Luftverk your monthly budget and Jeffrey will find a loan program that fits your finances.
