How to hubstack a Bolt!

Oldedges sent a Bolt to me to be hubstacked. I wanted to leave as much ‘Doc Pop’ in the yoyo as possible, so instead of gutting it and building a new bearing seat with the hubstack, I decided to machine the nipple on the hub down to the brass spacer

I then machined a piece of 3/8" aluminum rod down and tapped it to accept a 6-32 axle

Which I threaded into the yoyo

After setting up on the lathe and machining, voila!

Of course I had to finish it off with some matching Ricestacks!

You are my hero. LOL

Did you glue the posts onto the yo-yo or are they only held on by the axle?

That’s sweet man! I love my bolt, but it plays a little light for me. I bet those stacks add a perfect amount of weight to it.

WOW!!! That’s super nice!!! Another reason why I want to get my hands on a lathe.
