Once I saw the URL, personal the site structure made sense.
But with the HESH ENTERPRISES header, page meta etc., and the heshenterprises.com link here, it sets more of a brand website expectation and there I normally would expect products to be the focus.
After Edit 2 it is a maybe bit incongruous, but serves both expectations well enough.
Not every site needs to be normal or congruous, and it’s not like there are a bunch of clever gimmicks for their own sake.
@Captrogers I’ll have to look into SEO, I don’t know much about that. Right now I’m kind of slammed between work, applying for grad schools/studying for the GRE and getting these yoyos ready for release, so I may leave that to December when the yoyo has been available online for a little bit and those who want to get it and already know the website exists have gotten it first.
Glad you liked my resume and thesis. Like my website, my resume is also a work in progress so if you or anyone else has any questions, comments or criticisms in regards to it I’m all ears, I’d like it to be as strong as possible.
@hsb I can understand the confusion between the linked URLs that I’m using. Part of the reason I picked the name Hesh Enterprises to hopefully provoke the idea of it being a large publicly traded multinational company as a joke, because in reality it’s just me by myself designing, assembling and shipping yoyos in my bedroom.
As for the Petri release on YYE, I know for a fact that it will happen, but when it happens is entirely up to Eric, Andre and the rest of the YYE staff as far as I know.
@Son-of-Morris I wouldn’t worry if I were you, I’m sure there will be some left over. I don’t want to sell myself short but at the same time I would be really, really surprised if I sold all 100+ of them all at once.
Hey gang, this is Brendan’s other account, I forgot I even had this one lol. I had the login info saved on my phone from many years ago. My heshgod account is logged into my computer which I’m away from right now, I’ll verify the legitimacy of this account later when I’m using that account. Anyways, thanks for the support, I really appreciate it. I impulsively put 7 Petris that I had lying around on there as well, and there’s only 2 left. Here’s your chance to get one before they drop on YYE! Anyways, I have to figure out my Paypal account, apparently I didn’t set it up correctly for a business and they’re suspicious of me, lol. Love y’all
Also, in regards to the most recent question in this thread, both the Honeypot and Petri can fit a half spec bearing with a smaller axle to enable responsive play.
Here’s proof that that account is legitimate: a screenshot referencing my issues with PayPal right now. Ha! I guess I didn’t prepare all the way for this drop. Oh well, I’m not tripping, it’s just more busy work for me to do.
Anyways, thanks again. I’ll be shipping orders out progressively throughout the next week. Also, just fare warning, looks like the clear ano’d ones are the closest to selling out, so if you want one of those, you better act quick.
Just a quick update: I’m out of Paypal jail! Wooooo
To those who got one of my yo-yos, thanks again for your support, it means the world to me. Let me know what you think! If you have any questions, comments or concerns about the yo-yo, your experience purchasing it, shipping or anything else somewhat related to that or me, let me know, I’d be happy to talk about it with you.
I might do a little B-grade sale before Christmas just to offload some Honeypots that got damaged at the anodizers. If you’re interested, keep your eye out for that in the next week or two.
