Trains generally take longer to accelerate to top speed than cars, which makes the problem much more difficult and missing some crucial information. However, I imagine the author of the question neglected to address this and assumes instantaneous top speed for the purposes of the math problem.

Yeah @MattB i agree with you.some information is missing and I am unable to understand the problem from the beginning.

Yeah I have understood the first step. Add 100 to numerator and denominator. So 50% is 100+50.
