Help me improve my tutorial! (Ryuichi Nakamura Trick)

I made this tutorial but I would really appreciate if you guys tried out the tutorial to let me know things you thought were confusing so I can better clear them up in the final video! (I’m also gonna add a chest cam and a front angle too) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I haven’t tried this but sometimes I wish your “text directions” were on screen a little longer.

You could probably delete the trapeze example in the beginning. This is an advanced enough trick and if you’re trying it, that’s not a mistake you’ll make.

I’m going to give it a go when time permits. Thanks for putting it together.

Ayy super appreciate hearing that man, I just set them to a default of 2 seconds but hearing that Imma start making it longer. Do you think like 4 seconds is good or should it be longer?

And the trapeze thing is so valid

The only place where it wasn’t clear to me what needed to happen was at ~2:34-2:35, where the camera angle made it hard for me to see where the throw hand needs to go while uncurling. It is obvious now that I figured it out, but I was stuck for a bit.

Nice job breaking down! Now that I worked through it following your tutorial, the original is a lot easier to understand.

Sweet thanks for letting me know man! This was exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for! When editing I was debating on saying the uncurl and put finger in but didn’t know if it was too obvious. But it’s easy for someone who already knows the trick to view things as obvious, but really aren’t when you’re learning it yk. Imma see if I can do some reediting and send it over later and lmk if you think you wouldn’t have been confused if you saw my re edited version if that’s cool :call_me_hand:t2:
