I’ve been working on my “Instant Double or Nothing” from breakaway (the “folding trick” version) and coming up a bit short. I think if I can nail this one, it’ll be even more impressive.

Any particular tips on going in and out of trapeze with this, or just “practice… it’s the same motion…”?

It’s described right in the video, and shown. It’s not a full Magic Drop formation thing… it’s just a wrap around the finger like for a Mach Whip.

it’s a magic drop formation minus the thumb. Or the same as mach whip, like gregp said.

I’ve been working on it. It’s harder to land, but if you make it kinda 3 dimensional it helps. Hop the yoyo up, pull back about an inch, throw the slack, then stick your finger back through both. It’s really fast, but you hit the slack on your finger then catch the trapeze bit at the end.
