GrawrD/Gerard Amento (Old school thrower) on Wheel of Fortune

GrawrD/Gerard Amento is someone who used to make a lot of trick tutorials back in the day, they even had a website, grawrd.com (now defunct sadly).

Anyways I don’t know how many of you are old enough/were around far enough back to remember them but my mom sent me a clip of them on Wheel of Fortune asking if I recognized them; low and behold I actually did! They used to be pretty prevalent on TheYo. Talk about a throwback.

Hey, that guy’s pretty good! A little late, but happy to see that my episode found its way to some of the yo-yo world.

Hahaha! Thanks for the warm welcome guys, it’s been a while.

For those of you that didn’t get to see the episode, I brought some extra yo-yos with me and, since I won, Vanna and Ryan tried them out at the end of the episode. Ryan had asked if I could Rock the Baby during the show, so I had to give him the longest Rock the Baby of all time haha.

Gerard…it’s Mo the old school yo-yo modder.

Type must seriously be flying, lol. Because I realize I hadn’t seen you in a while…

But I wouldn’t have bet a nickel you haven’t been on the forum for 14 years

Geeze Louise!

Glad you’re OK..

Your site was pretty much what I exclusively learned to yoyo from. Great trick explanation and the music was perfect!

Mo! Best mirror pictures in the game!

Fun to see some familiar names after all these years. I tried to avoid doing the math when I looked up my last post, definitely doesn’t feel that long.

Glad to see you’re still out here and maybe we’ll have to find a SoCal yo-yo contest to catch up.

Thanks, man! That means a lot!

Sadly my stubbornness, paired with my love of music is what got my YouTube and Vimeo accounts deleted, so it was nice having a site to keep everything.

Comments like this are why I kept it going for so long, so I appreciate it.
