Aight cutoff time has been reached and I need to go over the contestants figure out how to do this. I didn’t think it through properly enough.
Thanks everyone for sharing and I’ll post the winner up as soon as I can.
Edit 2: 11pm MST. Woof this is harder than I anticipated to decide who gets it. Currently mulling over and have been all day. Will decide tomorrow with a fresh brain.
FINAL EDIT: After much thought… I’ve decided I’m going to split it up to some of the people that posted. Sorry to everyone else - In the end I’m a control freak and I decided to bust it up instead of pawning the responsibility off to someone else to give them out to the community.
I WILL COVER SHIPPING FOR ALL AND TOSS IN STRINGS FOR EVERYONE. Winners please PM me with your address you want it shipped to.

I will cover shipping to the CONUS. You reply to this thread with why you WANT to get into fixed / responsive yoyos, or how you will give these to needy yoyo kids! The longer the story the better!
I have no way of truly vetting out whether you’re a beginner or a benevolent pro with their local community. Please please be honorable and try not to take these from truly needing people.

Not sure how much of a beginner you mean but I started a few months ago. I’ll prob be pulling up to atl meets when i get back from abroad but you could also just give them to mark from mk1 since he’s also in that area. I might try to stir some interest on my uni campus with them tho. 10 people and i can formally establish a club
Not sure if I’m still considering new, but back to yoyoing after like 25 years having only done it as a kid. I’ve been wanting to get into fixed after just recently starting looping. I got back into yoyo doing 1a and I still do that about 75% of the time. Recently I’ve beem so addicted to looping I just love the rhythmic motion and so I figured fixed would be a fun in-between to learn. I also grew up working in lumber yards so anything made of wood has interests me. Anyways not sure if I qualify but that’s my story
I’ve read the rules and I’m not a beginner (not a pro either sone middle ground of not great but not terrible) nor would I dare give away the gamers especially not the wood one. They probably would get added to my collection except the duplicate bc throws would probably be given away to folks. I would probably part with some of my duplicate loopers but keep the 900s cause I’ve been wanting them. Am I deserving. Nah. Should I enter nope. Is this an entry. Idk you decide bud.
I would have offered on the loopers earlier when this was a bst post only but they where part of the beginner bundle to begin with and I had no reason to mess with that plan.
Uh not sure if youre breaking it up into different parts or not but id loved a fixed axle nice wooden yoyo, ive been throwing for only a couple months again now and i throw every day for at least an hour to try and improve…really just would like the rain city wooden and you’re already shipping me another throw lol
But i vote pick someone whos going to share them because i have no friends other than my niece wants a yoyo so i was planning to give her a cheap duncan butterfly.
I was over there today trying to teach my 7 yr old niece and my 9 year old niece expressed interest. Id definitely give them both one of these if you ended up choosing me…but id honestly keep the two rain cities. Unless i can convince my best bud at work to learn then id share the gamer with him since i bought a gamer lite recently from someone else.
Also ive invested a lot of money into BST and by that i mean just spent like 400 between like 15 different people now and some freebies would make me feel better about things lol but thats my problem and not related to your giveaway rules haha
It would be nice to have a case separate for my responsive throws and unresponsive throws.
Anywho thats my 2 cents in here
Edit: since i have one gamer lite on the way, if you chose me id have two gamer lites in same colorway to set up as responsive metal loopers. I dont need my front teeth so it would be perfect plan. Ive only hit myself in the face once with my loop 720s
2nd edit: the rainbow bc would be perfect for my niece. Some additional family related info. The one that wants to learn is picked on by her other siblings, my brother and sister in law were lecturing her about staying off her tablet and how she needed to do something that was not on the internet or technology. Id look like a really cool uncle if i gave her a quality starter yoyo.
3rd edit: just had a good idea. Instead of looping with two gamer lites, ill just start a pay it forward thread for the gamer lite! Since id already have one of those to play with. And with that im off to sleep
I would love to pick this up and distribute to my local community yoyos Australia, but shipping it here would be costly! This is such a rad thing for you to do!
Here I’ll amend my original scumbag collector entry and offer to give comparable throws im less fond of from my collection to the local high school yoyo club this year. Actually scratch that I’ll do the giving away yoyos thing anyway. Carry on.
Joking aside this is pretty neat I hope these don’t just end up back on the Bst site again in a few weeks/months regardless of my position of adding to my own collection.
You’re awesome, man! Excited for whoever would get this package.
The Retro Gamer’s such a fun throw. Tiny and lightweight, but punches above its weight.
I happened to record this a few days ago. Using a Retro Gamer.
I picked up throwing this year at age 40, after briefly being into the late 90s boom. I’ve stuck with it longer this time around, thanks to easily available videos explaining tricks, and a bit of additional patience gained with age. I’m a full time caregiver for my mom who has Parkinsons, and it’s really been nice having a hobby to distract me for 5 minutes or 50. I’m at the point where I’m transitioning to side style tricks, and the more I practice, the more I’m wanting to try modern fixed play. I’ve gone back to mostly playing with my responsive Crystal, just because I like flowing between trapeze and brother mounts without having to be interrupted by doing a bind. I’ve started online window shopping for wooden fixies, and keeping my eye out for Duncan butterflies at the big box store, but haven’t had any luck yet.
I seriously doubt there are any yoyo clubs near me in southern WV, so I can’t say I’d be likely to give things away any time soon…but if you split this up, I’d gladly give that Retro Gamer a good home. Either way, thanks for doing this - there seems to be a really great community here!
Not to necro a closed post but the case and 900s arrived. The 900s will be going in my looper case and I’ll be passing along two brand new unopened 720s in there stead along with some other yo-yos. My goal is to fill this case and then some. The legend wing there happens to be a yo-yo I know I’m willing to let go. I’ll post more when I have the final list set and when I send stuff on its way.
