Hey, pretty sure this is not a real Summit unless the engravings are massively messed up somehow? The One Drop engraving is way too thin, and the margin between the handle and head of the pickaxe looks just like some fakes I’ve seen.

This is the original summit.

So what’s up with it looking unusual? I have never seen one like this.

Age makes the engraving look thinner

more of the same with the same engraving

I’d say the thin engraving thing has nothing to do with age. I’m not even sure how that would work honestly. It seems like some poor manufacturing tolerance went into these engravings:

Bro, this yo-yo is 12 years old.

You can tell its real from the color differentials. On the 28s the real ones switch colors and his do that. Heres a pic (logo should change color when paint is touched) both mine and his do that so i can %100 confirm that he has a real summit

Sorry these are not very good examples. The top engraving looks significantly different to the other two. The one in the middle is a photo from only last year and the engraving still looks as thick as a Fuji apple, assuming that ‘the engraving looks thinner with age’ is actually a thing (I think it’s not, I have older yoyos with engravings that haven’t thinned like this :woman_shrugging:)

read the message above

One Drop’s photos do not show that phenomenon specifically for the 28 Stories colourway as far as I can tell:

This one is not confirmed to be 28 Stories:

I’d like to know what actually causes the phenomenon that you’re referring to, because some of the Summit colourways do have that. Like this one:

Reds and blues seem to cause it more often… sorta? Maybe it’s just really inconsistent?
