how similar is the compass to the scout? I’m trying to buy a scout, but if it’s similar enough, I may just buy the compass
@Oxillian The Scout and Compass aren’t very similar. They have similar catch zones, but that’s where the comparison stops.
Scout plays a bit heavier on the string, and seems to have more power to it. The Compass feels a little lighter and more agile. Personally, I’d use the Scout more for trick creation and longer sequences, and the Compass would be more for whip tricks and horizontal play IMO. Here’s some pics comparing the two shapes (Scout on left, Compass on right).

Thanks! Very helpful. Would you say the scout also plays more like a caribou lodge yoyo? It seems to have more design cues from a lot of their classics.
Yes, I would. Scout feels very similar to a Chief to me, or like a bigger Pickaxe with more weight.
